U.S. News & World Report has ranked Connecticut IB Academy (CIBA) as the #3 high school in Connecticut. The publication released its annual high school rankings, which includes nearly 18,000 high schools in the country and 200 in the state.

CIBA ranked #254 nationally with an overall score of 98.56/100. In addition, CIBA was ranked #58 in Magnet High Schools nationally and #1 in Hartford, CT Metro Area High Schools.

In the college curriculum breadth index rank, CIBA ranked #1 in the state. This indicator reflects the proportion of grade 12 students who pass IB exams in multiple subject areas.

CIBA Principal Michelle Marion said, “As an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School©, CIBA is known for its rigorous curriculum, academic excellence, and focus on college preparation and international mindedness. This ranking is a testament to our dedicated team of teachers and support staff, as well as the hard work of our diverse and ambitious student body each and every day.

As Principal, I am deeply impressed by our students who come from all over the state of Connecticut to our learning community led by East Hartford Public Schools in order to push themselves academically through our IB curriculum and get the most out of their high school experience.”
