Connecticut IB Academy (CIBA) is the best high school in the state according to U.S. News and World Report. The publication released its annual high school rankings, which include nearly 25,000 public high schools in the country and 200 in the state of Connecticut.
CIBA ranked 117th nationally with an overall score of 99.34/100. In addition, CIBA was ranked 31st nationally for magnet high schools.
When compiling its rankings, U.S. News and World Report considers six factors: college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.
“We are incredibly proud of this accolade that speaks to the results of our rigorous, fast-paced IB curriculum,” said CIBA Principal Michelle Marion. “Our students are challenged at CIBA to become independent thinkers and problem solvers who graduate ready to excel in college and beyond. Our success is attributed to our students and families who embrace that challenge and our faculty and staff who support them throughout their four years at CIBA.”
