Policies and Procedures
Reading for pleasure and information are important aspects of the EHMS Curriculum. Therefore, each team has a regularly scheduled library book check out time every other week. Students may come to check out books during homeroom, with a teacher during Reading or English class, or with a pass during the school day. Students may check out a total of three books at one time. Our books may be borrowed for two weeks and renewed one time (for a total of four weeks). If a book you have borrowed gets lost, or damaged beyond repair, students are responsible for paying a replacement cost. For this reason, we suggest that you do not share your borrowed books with other students.
Students sign an Acceptable Use Policy as part of their enrollment at EHMS. Computer use is supervised and restricted to school-related topics only. For more information about the rules and policies in the computer lab, please see the Acceptable Use Policy in the Student Handbook. The computer lab and media center also adhere to the Positive Behavior Support program in place at EHMS using the Four Ways to Be: respectful, responsible, safe, and a positive role model.
