During your freshmen year the class of 2021 was fortunate to have been under the guidance of Mr. Fote, Ms. Pascascio, Dr. Patel and Mrs. Cohen. The Freshmen Academy offers the support, structure and sense of community that a 9th grader needs to grow. As your 10th grade Assistant Principal I am eager to work with you and your families for the next three years. Mr. St. Juste and Mr. Jordan will take over as your guidance counselors and Ms. Batty as our team’s social worker. We have been in the process of reviewing all your files, transcripts and Student Success Plans in order to get to know you and your goals for college and a career.
Parents: Please continue to play an active r ole in your child’s education. As your student begins their sophomore year, remind them to make connections that will be positive and long lasting, to focus on their academic goals, and maintain excellent attendance and approach obstacles with vigor and enthusiasm.
Reminder on our attendance policies at EHHS:
- Students are allowed 9 excused/unexcused absences in a semester course and 19 excused/unexcused absences in a full year course without losing credit.
- Please send a note with your child if they need to be dismissed from school. This expedites the dismissal process.
- Notes for absences and tardiness are accepted by the House Office. Excused absence will be noted in their file.
If your student has extenuating absences please consult the House Office for more information.
As always, the staff at East Hartford High School is here to help your child reach their potential. I look forward to working with you this year. Please do not hesitate to contact the House 10 secretary, Mrs. Rosa at 622-5274 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
Thank you, Mrs. Marion
