District Attendance Task Force

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, the EHPS Attendance Task Force conducted its third meeting to review current practices across district schools, discuss the District Attendance Networking Event, align data protocols and reports, and determine next steps related to student Interventions. During this time, the team conducted a data review of 90-day district performance and were trained in running attendance reports through PowerSchool. These reports focused on Daily Attendance, Chronic Absenteeism, Attendance Letters, and Perfect Attendance. A copy of this resource can be found here. Additionally, the team will be reviewing the current “Attendance Toolkit” and making recommendations for revising this resource. In doing so, it is our goal to continue to create and implement aligned systems and resources across district schools. If you have any ideas or feedback to further support our attendance efforts at EHHS, please see Ms. Adams or Mr. LeRoy.

 Chronic Absenteeism

Monitoring Chronically Absent students and student attendance is everyone’s job at EHHS. With this in mind, students are often not in class for a number of reasons for extended periods of time, some with or without the reason being given. If you have any information regarding a student situation or would like to learn more about how to support an absent student, please reach out to the house office for more information.

CELEBRATING ALL IN, EVERYDAY

Each month, the attendance team will designate one student (per grade level) for Most Improved Attendance and Perfect Attendance. Please congratulate these students as you see them recognized for their commitment to being in school, every day!
