District Parent Planning and Design Team
The Parent Planning and Design Team is a district planning team of parents that meets to discuss educational Initiatives for your child’s success. As a team, parents from across the East Hartford Public School district collaborate with the Office of Family and Community Partnerships to address the educational questions and concerns parents have. Twice a year, the Parent Planning and Design team organizes, facilitates, and creates the agenda for the District Family Forum.

Family Community Forum
Twice a year, the Office of Family and Community Partnerships collaborates with the District Parent Planning and Design Team to host our Family Community Forums. At the forums, families from across the district come together to gain a deeper understanding of district programming, hear presentations from EHPS staff and community partners, and have a Q&A with the Superintendent.
People Empowering People (pep)
The PEP program is a personal, family and leadership development program. PEP helps participants focus on their own personal strengths.They enhance their communication skills, problem solving abilities, parenting and relationship skills, and they achieve a greater understanding of, and become more involved with their communities.The program is conducted by Kelly Consalvo and Louisa Recinos, UConn Extension trained facilitators.
