DEREK BELL
Mr. Derek Bell began his teaching career in 2002 at South Windsor High School as a long term certified substitute. In 2003, he was hired as the health and physical education teacher at Klingberg Family Centers in New Britain. Following his three years at the Raymond Hill School, he was hired by East Hartford Public Schools as a health and physical education teacher in 2005. Currently, Mr. Derek Bell is teaching health and physical education at East Hartford High School.
Mr. Bell attended Keene State College, where he studied Health and Physical Education and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2000. He also attended Central Connecticut State University, where he earned his Master of Science in Educational Leadership in 2007.
In addition to teaching health and physical education, Mr. Bell is involved in the TEAM mentoring program and is actively involved with the Falcon Baseball program at EHMS. When not teaching, Mr. Bell is actively involved with volunteering his time to his community’s youth athletic programs.
