Mr. Ray Bell was hired as a health and physical education teacher by East Hartford Public Schools in 1998. Before he was hired, he served as an educational tutor at Woodland School, one of the district's alternative programs. Mr. Bell has taught at every grade level and at a number of our district's schools. Currently, he teaches 12th grade health and physical education at East Hartford High School.
Mr. Bell earned his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Health from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1997, his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership in 2004 from Central Connecticut State University and a 6th Year Degree in Administration in 2011 from Central Connecticut State University.
Mr. Bell is currently a member of the following organizations:
- Connecticut Association for Physical Education, Health, Recreation and Dance
- Member of the National and Connecticut Soccer Coach’s Association
- American Red Cross disaster volunteer
- Mr. Bell is also a certified CPR/1st AID instructor for the American Red Cross.
Along with an extensive teaching career in East Hartford, Mr. Bell has also coached numerous teams at EHHS. He served ten years as the head coach for the girl's varsity soccer team, was an assistant baseball coach for eight years and also served as the head varsity and JV softball coach.
