Hornet Athletics

Our winter sports season is quickly coming to an end with very strong performances by all teams involved. Wrestling finished the season with a 17-8 record and had qualifiers compete through the state open level. Indoor track also had athletes compete through states and state opens. The girls basketball team had a really strong performance this season finishing 8th in the LL's. They won the first round of the state tournament against Woodstock Academy 61-31 and will be playing Mercy HS on 3/1 for the second round at EHHS beginning at 7:00pm. Boys basketball also had a strong season finishing 11th in Division 1. They will begin the tournament in the second round on Wednesday, March 6th when they take on Windsor HS at Berlin HS with a 7:00 start.  Finally the swim team will be moving on to state trials on Saturday, March 9th at EHHS followed by state finals the following week. Student Activities

Our clubs continue to grow in number and size! Just recently we added a Dungeons and Dragons club to our list and after some debate at the beginning of the year, the Iron Hornet Club is back up and running! Thank you to our amazing advisors for putting in the time and effort to provide these opportunities for our students to be involved.

Though it may be snowy and cold outside we are less than 2 months away from junior prom! The year is going by quickly at this point! Stay tuned for more updates on spring events as the time gets closer!
