This summer, the EHPS Facilities Department will be repaving the East Hartford High School / CT IB Academy parking lot. Work begins on June 12 with an estimated completion date of July 8.

This project will complete the remaining section of paving for the high school lot beginning from the main entrance on Forbes Street through the section of parking directly in front of the building. Repaving for CIBA will encompass the entire parking lots and access roads (closed off for traffic) that surround the school. The project includes all new pavement, catch basins and line striping for the affected areas.

Building Access, Traffic & Parking During Paving:

• Temporary parking for both schools during repaving will be located at the EHHS east side (east loop & pool lots) and north side (rear lot)

• Student bus routes and drop-offs will access the secondary road off Forbes Street through a loop located between the two east side lots

• Access to enter CIBA will be through the connector/bridge from EHHS

• Both vehicle and pedestrian (public) access to the tennis courts adjacent to CIBA will be closed during the project as there will be no established sidewalks leading to the courts
