East Hartford Public Schools Superintendent Thomas Anderson presented his budget proposal for School Year 2025-2025 (Fiscal Year 2026) during a joint meeting of the East Hartford Board of Education and Town Council on November 25. The Board of Education will hold a vote to approve the budget proposal during its regular meeting on December 16.

The proposed budget includes a net allocation of $105,408,825, which is a 2.8% increase over the current fiscal year.

The proposed budget includes investments to sustain current services, leverages grants to maintain critical district operations, and adds new positions to support and meet the needs of our students. These positions include bilingual teachers at the elementary and high school level, bilingual coaches, and staff at all levels to support school climate and cafeteria services. Outside of these new positions, the budget maintains current staffing levels and meets all contractual salary obligations for EHPS employees.
