Dear Parents/Guardians,
Greetings!
I am writing to update you on our search and hiring process for the next Principal and Head Start Director for the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC). With Principal Beauchamp’s final day in district last week, we now turn towards the new opportunities that our next leader will bring.
As some of you have been aware, we have been working over the past few months to fill this important role. To date, we have not yet found the right candidate. This search will continue and we sincerely thank our staff and parents for their willingness to be a part of this process.
On an interim basis, Ms. Elsie Torres, Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Schools, will be stepping forward to assume the principalship and serve as building leader. Ms. Torres is a highly experienced and successful former school leader who is looking forward to getting to know you as the ECLC community in this new and temporary role.
Please join with me in welcoming Ms. Torres and I encourage you to connect with her directly when you see her at the school. We will continue the search for our next dynamic leader and look forward to making another great leadership hire for East Hartford Public Schools.
