Biography

Nicole Damiata is a results-driven Human Resources executive with over 18 years of dedicated experience across Connecticut public school districts. Throughout her career in public education, she has specialized in building modern HR infrastructures, optimizing labor relations, and driving digital transformations that foster equitable, high-performing educational environments.

As Human Resources Manager for Windsor Public Schools, Nicole led district-wide HR operations and served as a trusted strategic advisor to administration. She managed the HR team, oversaw compliance and HRIS administration, and served as the primary liaison for contractual language interpretation, employee relations, and conflict resolution, utilizing mediation and facilitated dialogue to build strong relationships across the district.

Prior to her role in Windsor, Nicole spent over 12 years with Berlin Public Schools as Human Resources Generalist. Working alongside the Director of Human Resources, she was instrumental in establishing the district's HR department from the ground up. A key architect of the district’s modern workforce systems, Nicole led numerous digital transformation initiatives. Restructuring the benefits administration, implementing automated employee platforms and introducing monthly reconciliation frameworks that significantly improved operational efficiency.

Her early professional foundation includes a yearlong business administration internship at Walt Disney World, where her commitment to service excellence earned her five Outstanding Guest Service Awards.

Nicole holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University and two national Human Resources certifications (PHR/SHRM-CP) from the University of Saint Joseph. An active leader in educational human resources, she serves on the Executive Board for CASPA and maintains active memberships with SHRM, HRACC, HRCI, and AASPA.

Driven by a passion for equitable, inclusive workplace cultures, Nicole frequently volunteers as a workforce mentor with Junior Achievement and Dress for Success, delivering workshops on interview preparation, personal branding, and resume writing.
