Marketing I

Marketing I is an extension of the Business Education program and prepares students for work in the areas of marketing, merchandising, retailing, sports marketing, international marketing, advertising, and marketing research.  In addition, the course addresses Entrepreneurship principles and practices.  Additional credit is given for entry level or career related work experience.  This course is recommended for juniors and/or seniors interested in a career in Business.  Students will learn basic marketing principles, marketing strategies, participate in DECA, and work in the school store. The DECA club exists to bridge the gap between theory and reality and encourages creativity, problem solving and common sense.  In addition, the DECA club provides students with exposure to career opportunities in the all marketing related fields.  This course also qualifies for Tech Prep credit at Manchester Community College.

Marketing II is for second year Marketing students that are looking to learn advanced Marketing principles and practices.  This advanced program prepares the student for a successful career in marketing and distribution.  Active membership in

DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is an integral part of the course.  Credit is given for work experience. This course qualifies for Tech Prep credit at    

Manchester Community College.
