Upper Classmen Course Offerings

During the students’ sophomore year of high school, they will need to choose either a full-year or half-year path of courses for their junior year. Students may continue in the half-year path for their senior year; however, they are not obligated to do so. Students who feel the need for a full year English 4 course may choose to do so by meeting the minimum requirements for the course with teacher recommendation. Students wishing to attend a four-year college or university after high school are encouraged to choose the full year path. Students wishing to attend a technical school, community college, or who choose the career path after high school have the option of choosing the full or half-year path.

Option 1: Full-Year Path – Students select one course each year. Full year courses fulfill both the reading and writing requirement of the English Department.
