School Registration Information

All new students entering East Hartford Public Schools must be registered through the Central Registration Office located in the Board of Education building at 1110 Main Street in East Hartford. Directions to 1110 Main Street

Central Registration is open 12 months a year,
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Who Needs To Register

All new students entering East Hartford Public Schools
Students approved to Connecticut IB Academy (CIBA)
Students currently attending and/or approved to a Magnet/Parochial/Private School who are East Hartford residents, including Pre-Kinder students for Magnet Schools and Willowbrook School
Please allow at least 20 minutes per child for registration

Enrollment Package

A SEPARATE ENROLLMENT PACKAGE IS
NECESSARY FOR EACH STUDENT

Registration can be completed the following ways:

Visit or pick up enrollment package from East Hartford Board of Education, Central Registration Office located at 1110 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108 or;
Print and complete the applicable forms and bring them with you to the Central Registration Office, located at 1110 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.

Affidavit -(if you rent month to month with no lease)
2012-2013 Certificate Of Residency -(if you reside in another person's home with no mortgage or lease)
2013-2014 Certificate Of Residency -(if you reside in another person's home with no mortgage or lease)
Certificate of Residency Annual Renewal
Guardian Certificate of Residency - (if student resides with a guardian rather than the parent)

Free and Reduced Lunch Program

The East Hartford Public Schools offers free and reduced lunch to all students if they qualify. Lunch forms can be printed (see form below), can be obtained at the schools, or at the East Hartford Board of Education offices.

The Central Registration office processes and approves all lunch applications, providing they are filled out completely by the parent or the head of household in the family. Central Registration is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please call (860) 622-5082.

Address Changes

In the event a change of address is needed for any East Hartford Public School student, a parent/guardian can print the form and bring the completed form along with the proper documents to the Central Registration office located at 1110 Main Street, East Hartford.

If you reside in someone else's home, a notarized Certificate of Residency form is REQUIRED.
