Message from mr. labarbera

Welcome Silver Lane Students and Families,

First I would like to say how humbled and appreciative I am to join a school that shares such a deep commitment to the success of our young scholars. Both East Hartford and Silver Lane have generated great momentum, and I am eager to build on that progress in close collaboration with remarkably talented staff and students within Silver Lane.

Moving forward as a school we are eager to begin exchanging ideas. With a sense of community, a strong belief in kids, and an attitude that focuses on doing whatever it takes, Silver Lane has the potential to reach great heights.  Every child at Silver Lane should feel a strong sense of belonging and be able to achieve success in their own way.  This year we will continue to focus on fulfilling our mission of ensuring that every child becomes a lifelong learner.

My experiences have made me a firm believer that the best solutions are those that we generate together.  Therefore I hope that as a school we are able to successfully collaborate with our families and community to ensure we are meeting the needs of every child. In an effort to begin building partnerships that lead to our students becoming community leaders and successful citizens I encourage you to reach out.  I anticipate many great conversations as we look to keep our wolf pack moving forward.  See you soon.

In Partnership,

Principal Joseph LaBarbera
