We are pleased to have you as partners in this educational year.  Elementary school is a time of learning and fun.  We hope your years with us at Pitkin will be successful and filled with many new opportunities.

Gov. William Pitkin School takes pride in providing a quality academic program in a culturally rich, diverse environment. We offer a comprehensive program that includes full day kindergarten, special and related services for identified students, a gifted and talented program, art, music, physical education, instrumental music and technology beyond the core areas.   We promote character development through the school-wide implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support. We expect our students to Be Positive, Accept Others, Be Willing to help, and always maintain Safe behavior.

Pitkin School is committed to strengthening the bond between school and family. An active and effective PTO supports field trips, multicultural events, family nights, storytellers, and school dances. We maintain a website and a monthly newsletter.  Pitkin students are engaged learners who vigorously pursue their education. We invite your support and involvement for the success of all our students.
