Academy of Finance

Economics and the World of Finance are combined with the study of securities and insurance to create a two year program for juniors and seniors interested in a career in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Insurance. Students will learn basic economics principles, business organization, the stock market, government economic systems, and the basics of the insurance business and insurance products. The Academy of Finance provides students with exposure to career opportunities in the financial services industry. A paid internship during the summer between the junior and senior years offers the students hands-on experiences in the financial services or insurance industry. Field trips and guest speakers support the curriculum objectives. Students enrolled in the Academy of Finance work in the American Eagle on-site Credit Union.
