Student Data Privacy Law Resources

In alignment with the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE), East Hartford Public Schools treats data confidentiality and the privacy of student educational records very seriously. It complies with all federal laws including Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), state statutes, and guidelines to protect confidential data. This page is designed to provide additional resources to families, community members, and schools to explain the implications of new legislation going into effect October 1, 2016.
