Health and Physical Education

Curriculum for Spring Semester

 

Over the course of the spring semester we will be focusing in three main topics. We will start the semester off with a unit in physical fitness. In this unit students will explore concepts about physical fitness so that they can evaluate their own level of fitness and to make changes if needed as measured by student written reflections as well as growth from pre to post test. In our second unit students will learn about health issues in relation to human sexuality so that they can be able to make healthy decisions in this area as measured by student written reflections as well as growth from pre to post test. In out last major unit students will discuss topics in relation to nutrition so that they can make healthy choices about what they eat as measured by student written reflections as well as growth from pre to post test.
