GUIDANCE

“Success in an IB program correlates well with success at Harvard. We are always pleased to see the credentials of the IB Diploma Program on the transcript.” GPA is not nearly as important a factor in university admission as the IB Diploma. If a student has to choose, choose the Diploma over protecting the GPA.” Harvard University, Marilyn McGrath Lewis, Asst. Dean of Admissions

At CIBA, we expect that all of our students will attend college or university upon graduation. Because the IB program has a high level of respect and recognition among the world’s leading higher education institutions which results in advanced standing, course credit, scholarships and other admissions-related benefits for CIBA students, we expect that 100% of our students will attempt to earn the International Baccalaureate Diploma© over their junior and senior year. No other accomplishment says much to the top universities and scholarship selection committees about a student’s commitment, willingness to accept challenge and preparedness for college life than completing the requirements for the IB Diploma.

CIBA students have attended and graduated from the top universities in the United States and around the world. Our Guidance Department is committed to assisting students in reaching their goals for a successful college experience and beyond.
