Mr. Martucci was hired as a health and physical education teacher at East Hartford High School in 2011 and has taught all four grade levels. Mr. Martucci earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Health Fitness Studies from Central Connecticut State University (2010), where he graduated summa cum lade, and a Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Saint Joseph (2017). He is a member of the Connecticut Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CTAHPERD), and has represented his department by presenting at state-wide professional development conferences.

Mr. Martucci is highly involved in the EHHS community. He is currently the Head Varsity Badminton and Head Varsity Softball coach. He was previously the Freshman/JV Baseball coach for three seasons, and the assistant Varsity Softball coach for two. In addition, he is known as the “Voice of the Hornets” serving as the public address announcer for home football and basketball games. Mr. Martucci is also a lead faculty advisor for the elite Student Leadership Program “Connections Plus” which is comprised of high achieving students who engage in team building, service learning projects and peer mentorship under his facilitation. He collaborates with colleagues as a leader on the Curriculum Development Team and member of Connections Council, while also having served on the PBIS Committee. Mr. Martucci has been chosen by the staff as the Soaring Hornet Award winner twice in his career, and was elected East Hartford High School’s 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year.
